HEADING EAST
2006   15'3”   TB   Sire:Dubai Destination   Dam:Nausicaa

Ex racehorse which I've owned along with my mum Mrs Julie Toombs since 2013.

“Jaffa” is possibly the most quirky horse I have had and so very full of character!! Can be the sweetest horse at times, but don't be fooled, he can very quickly turn into a bitey monster; especially when rugging, tacking up or grooming!

He loves showing off and especially for a crowd, but he his very bright and quick thinking which makes him an awesome xc horse. Sadly, he can lose concentration very easily which has caused some expensive mistakes in the dressage and show jumping.

PAINTED JEWEL
2012   15'2”   IRISH   unknown breeding

Bought as a “project” by The Q Syndicate to sell on, has proved to be quite a gem; so she's staying!!

She is quite a feisty character, but also can be very sweet. She has a great jumping technique and is very careful, which she equally matches with her bravery and boldness XC!!

I had to keep the handbrake on for the XC during her first season to temper her enthusiasm.
Definitely one to watch and the handbrake is coming off!!!!

DELANO H
2008  16'2”  KWPN  Sire:Solitair  Dam:Linora

A lovely gentle character who was bred for show jumping, so had to learn not to give the XC fences quite so much height, especially steps down! He also thought the dressage boards were quite scary and flowers......

Watch Delano here>

He was just coming good when hock troubles sidelined him.

THE RITZ
2007  16'0”   KWPN  Sire:Lorino   Dam:Carnival Eclipse

Ritz was a very smart little horse. The Q Syndicate bought him from his breeder Debbie Godding and he had good jumping lines.

We were very successful at BE100 and competed at the 5 year champs just 6 months after we bought him!

Although he always jumped what I asked of him, he just didn't have that real drive that makes a top level event horse. So it was decided to sell him before moving up to Novice. As with no points we knew he would make an excellent grassroots horse, which he has now become.

RIGHT ON Q
2006   15'3”  IRISH  unknown breeding

Q was the first horse bought be The Q Syndicate, hence the name.

He was possibly the happiest horse I have ever known. He had such a keen interest in everything and everybody and always very willing.

He was showing great promise, but sadly a freak accident cut his life short.

THE JACOBITE
1999  16h  IRISH   Sire:Bonnie Prince   Dam:Maureens choice

Jack was owned by Mrs Emmy Watt and was her hunting horse. He wasn't the most athletic horse, but he was a real trier with a huge heart and was responsible for getting me back into the Eventing scene after being horseless.
We were nearly always placed and competed the first year that the Badminton Grassroots Championships ran, coming a credible 14th.

He did well at Novice but was starting to struggle with the jumping and as I did not want to “break” him, we decided to not push him any further.

He carried on with his hunting career and did the odd low level event.

MASTER BLACKJACK
1986  16h  IRISH   unknown breeding

This is who started it for me. I was often told that he wasn't really an event type, but he never failed to surprise his doubters.

He was not particularly scopey, but he had the heart of a lion and we made our way up through the grades, successfully competing at Advanced.

Jack sustained a tendon injury before we were able to compete at Bramham 3* and he was retired from competition.
